New Repair Workshop
After almost a year hiatus, my repair sewcial workshop is back. I was wondering whether I should host another workshop, but there have been a few requests since then. So, in collaboration with my friend, Melissa of Bamboostraw Girl, and Capitaland, this 1.5 hour repair workshop will be happening on Earth Day, 23 April 2022 in Singapore.
Why is Repairing Clothing Important?
Repairing clothing means:
Taking care of your clothing
Making your clothes last much longer so that you don’t contribute to the growing amount of waste we already produce
Having a meaningful relationship and connection with your clothes
Breaking up with fast fashion, an industry that produces new looks every week!
I think it’s also important to note that repairing your clothes helps you to slow down and appreciate what you already have, a philosophy that is close to my heart.
What Repairs Will I Teach?
In the repair sewcial workshop, I will be taking you through:
Basic stitches that you will need for repair work
How to fix a hem that’s come undone. These are found on the bottoms of skirts, trousers and tops.
How to secure a button securely.

Registration closes on 11 April.
