Making Zen Retreat - Are You Ready?
I am really excited to be part of the Making Zen lineup this May! This is the third time I will be participating in this textile art focused retreat organised by the amazing Kate Ward. This online retreat will gather nearly 40 talented artists to host one workshop each over the course of five days (4-8 May), and those workshops are totally free for anyone to watch for 24 hours. It’s an incredible opportunity to get inspired, connect with new friends and artists, and improve your craft as well add new stitches to your own visual stitch dictionary!
With this incredible lineup of artists, you can be sure that a wide range of topics will be covered - I’m particularly excited for Rebecca Desnos’ workshop on Botanical Ink from Flowers, and Textile Vessels from Ellie Beckthe VIP . My own workshop will be about Broderie Anglaise scallops, and I will be taking you through how to draw and sew them to create a beautiful coaster.

If you’d like to learn more about the retreat, check out the Making Zen website. You’ll be able to get all the schedule details there, as well as answers to some common questions about the retreat. Choosing the VIP pass also supports my art practice and teaching journey. Your support allows me to continue developing new techniques, sharing my process, and creating more in-depth workshops like the Broderie Anglaise sessions many of you have enjoyed.
I’ll hope I will see you there!
