Agy’s popular free motion embroidery workshops are held in Singapore on a regular basis and includes the Basic Free Motion Embroidery Workshop and Intermediate Free Motion Embroidery Workshop. These have also been taught in schools.

Corporate Workshops

Regular textile art based workshops are available for corporate, schools, public and private audiences. Sessions can be customised based on the client’s objectives and needs. Topics include upcycling textiles and sustainable fashion, and the practice of slowing down through stitch meditation and repair.

Broderie anglaise masterclass

Agy shares the intricacies of broderie anglaise, a technique popularised in the 19th century to create open worked spaces in a variety of shapes and sizes. Agy used this technique together with free motion embroidery to create her delicate soft sculptures.

This session focuses on the foundations of the Broderie Anglaise technique (stems and eyelets), and includes a kit to get you started.

Want to break the rules when using a sewing machine? Are you longing to sew something other than a straight line? Then Free Motion Embroidery (FME) is for you! Join this informative yet practical class run by Agy Textile Artist. At the end of the session, everyone gets to take home your own free motion embroidered tea towel!

Intermediate free motion embroidery

Level up your skills in free motion embroidery with this workshop. You’ll get to learn how to sew with dissolvable fabric and create your own colourful fabric collages to take home and display. Participants must be able to do basic free motion embroidery or have taken part in Agy’s basic free motion embroidery workshop.

Stitch meditation workshop with Agy

Join Agatha "Agy" as she takes you through a short meditative stitching session, exercises, and a brief discussion on the outcome. Agy realized the importance of slowing down and connecting with yourself. The aim of this session is not to make a product but to bring slow into our lives.
