Strange Tools Exhibition

I’m excited to be part of the Fertile Art Refinery show, Strange Tools. My interactive textile art piece is called Shades of Survival and looks at how human activity impacts our coral reefs. It is located in the children’s section of the library at Punggol. This piece is different from those presented at Hues of Loss in that it is created with the library’s audience in mind.

Strange Tools

Strange Tools by art collective Fertile Art Refinery in collaboration with MakeIT is an exhibition featuring all new works by eight women artists. The exhibition delves into matters close to the artists, from looking anew at mundane everyday objects and exploring relationships between ourselves, nature and technology, to recollecting personal archives of memories and collapsing the boundaries between self and others. The artists are Agatha “Agy” Lee, Cynthia Delaney Suwito, Eunice Lacaste, Jennifer Teo, Smiha Kapoor, Teo Huey Ling, Veronyka Lau and Xin Xiaochang, and the exhibition is curated in conversation with Kamiliah Bahdar.
