Making Zen Online Retreat 2024 (I’m back!)

Exciting news! My friend, Kate Ward from Zen Stitching, is hosting another Making Zen Online Retreat in November, and I will be one of the featured artists.

If you're new to Making Zen, get ready: this retreat focuses on textile arts and features 20 skilled artists leading workshops over five days, all free for viewers. It's a fantastic chance to be motivated, meet new friends and artists, and enhance your textile art skills!

The lineup for this retreat will feature... Agy Lee (that’s me!), Amanda Trought, Amy Maricle of Mindful Art Studio, Brooke Henry, Cindy Gilstrap of Cici and Company, Clare Bullock, Clarissa Grandi, Darcy Hunter, Deanne Fitzpatrick, Ellie Fisher, Karen Lewis, Kasia Jacquot, Kate Ward, Kiala Givehand, Laura Edgar, Manon Klerks, Paula MacGregor, Rebecca Ringquist, Rebekah Johnston, and String Theories Fiber Design.

With 20 artists, you can be sure that a wide range of topics will be covered - I’m particularly excited for Handstitched Book Cover, and the Paper Cutting Workshops. My own workshop will be about how you can use Broderie Anglaise to embellish and mend your clothes, a great session to get yourself familiar with the technique.

Not only will you get to transform holes and worn spots in your clothing, but you’ll also get to master the basic Broderie Anglaise technique, the eyelet, which can help benefit your art practice going forward.

If you’d like to learn more about the retreat (and save your free seat!), check out the Making Zen website. You’ll be able to get all the schedule details there, as well as answers to some common questions about the retreat.

What if I want to join now?

If you’re ready to dive into the retreat early, you can start on my workshop and access bonuses like my stems tutorial and embroiderers' self-care guide. You don’t have to wait until November 18th to get inspired! VIP Passes are available at an early bird rate of US$67 (originally US$147) until 18 November. Or if you decide within the hour of registering, a Fast Action ticket is available for just US$47!

PS: This is an affiliate link, which means I receive a small commission if you upgrade, helping support my work. Thank you!

I hope I’ll see you there!
