Affordable Art Fair Singapore 2025
I am really excited to be part of Y Art Project at the Affordable Art Fair Singapore 2025. My new works are a continuation of my exploration of transformation and renewal through the combination of embroidered moss-like forms and concrete. The choice of concrete, a material often associated with permanence and urban decay, contrasts starkly with the softness and vitality suggested by the textile moss. This juxtaposition is central to my process and message that renewal can emerge from decay and that healing and transformation can often begin in overlooked places.
My works will invite you to engage in the dynamic tension created by the interplay of these materials and their tactile differences. Beyond their physical qualities, the materials carry symbolic meanings: concrete as the weight of the past, and moss as the quiet persistence of life and hope. Through this contrast, the pieces encourage the viewers to reflect on their own journeys and the memories that shape them
