Summer Coral
The first half of this year seemed rather busy for me, with a group art fair showcasing my free motion embroidered art pieces, and a few public art workshops (namely stitch meditation, repair sewcial and free motion embroidery). I think it’s because Singapore is opening up and everyone is very excited to get things back to some sort of normal. I do have to remind myself that I need to keep things real - well there is a niggling feeling in the back of my mind that things could slow down again. But hey, let’s enjoy it while it lasts! I’m not going to let things put a damper on my life!
I have been doing quite a bit of art experimentation especially with the free motion embroidery, but I decided to create a postcard series in the same style as the Ocean series. Considering the humid nature of Singapore’s weather, normal postcard paper doesn’t really survive well, and so I decided to use acid-free paper instead. I also got a few requests to have them printed as well, so I took in a few pre-orders, and have already shipped them out to their forever homes.
Thank you to everyone for your support.

Art for a Cause
If you would like to purchase art and also do good. then consider adopting my donated free motion embroidered work, “Taking Root” that was showcased at the Twitter Art Exhibition in York. It is now for purchase online along with other amazing pieces of artworks from across the world. All pieces are £30 and all proceeds go to The Encephalitis Society. All proceeds of the sale of the works in 2022 will go to The Encephalitis Society, UK, which works to increase global awareness of encephalitis, provide support to those affected, and promote research. Encephalitis is an inflammation of the brain caused by an infection or through the immune system attacking the brain in error.
